52  | 湘鄉羅申田參贊長鍘端夾致ノ母濉分校有《別兄子春駷語》，論「緩」字最妙，文云：「緩是儒者氣象，舉足不緩則輕佻，舉手不緩則鄙俚，出言不緩則躁妄，下筆不緩則荒謬，小之貽一時之嘲笑，大之則取終身之尤悔。」云云。聲木謹案：參贊論「緩」字精刻卓絕，仍惜為一偏之見，竊謂緩與重當並論也。《曾文正公家訓》中，諄諄以緩重並重，真乃名儒之言。參贊之論再加一層，更舉一重字，則面面皆到，洵為青年子弟萬金之良藥也。 |
