103  | 注解：愛瀒也。嗇澀□韻，廣韻引作歰，歰與澀皆不滑也。大雅云：好是家嗇，力民代食。箋云：但好任用是居家之吝嗇，於聚斂作力之人，令代賢者處位食祿。又云家嗇維寳，代食維好。箋云：言王不尚賢，但貴吝嗇之人與愛代食者而已。老子曰：治人事天莫若嗇。詩序云：其君儉嗇褊急。從來□。來者，□而臧之。故田夫謂之嗇夫。說從來□之意也。嗇者，多入而少出，如田夫之務葢藏，故以來□會意。嗇夫見左傳所引夏書。漢制十亭一鄉，鄉有三老，有秩嗇夫、游徼，皆少吏之屬。許云：田夫謂之嗇夫者，若郊特牲先嗇、司嗇、報嗇，嗇皆謂農。古嗇穡互相假借，如稼穡多作稼嗇。左傳：小國為□，大國省穡而用之。卽省嗇也。所力切。一部。一曰棘省聲。來□者，會意。棘省聲者，形聲。別一說也。棘省，謂省並朿為單朿。來亦象朿，故云棘聲，然少迂矣。凡嗇之屬皆從嗇。□，古文嗇從田。 |
