5  | 「差不多是吃飯的時候了呢，叫翠縷快打臉水。」早有伺候的老婆子在窗外接應，打了臉水。翠縷接過，端進伺候湘雲洗臉畢，快要去開梳具匣子。湘雲道：「不必嚕囌了，橫豎沒有多大日子住，有林姑娘現成的在這裡，借他使用著就是了。」當下黛玉勻粉點脂已畢，站起身來讓著湘雲。湘雲便挨身坐到黛玉坐的凳上，檢點脂粉，口內笑說道：「我先前見你整夜睡不著的，為什麼如今倒像身上釘了磕睡蟲，頭還沒黏著枕，腳先睡了？」黛玉道：「你不知，我這場病回過來，諸凡不比舊時。心裏頭是空空洞洞，不追既往，不憶將來，倒比沒病的時候精神好了許多。」湘雲道：「你這個人，病也比人家不得一樣，我沒聽見害病都害得好精神的。」黛玉道：「當真我自己也不得明白，想是菩薩保佑。我素來敬信觀音大士，如今回家去，要塑一尊大士像，朝夕頂禮呢。」說著，見雪雁送過開水丸藥，黛玉道：「我如今也不愛吃這些，你都收拾起來罷。」一面叫擺飯，黛玉與湘雲用過，便有眾姊妹到來敘話。一天過了。 |
