登彼丘陵，峛崺其阪，峛崺﨑嶇也，丘陵既高，且險其阪，又﨑嶇相屬。丘陵，謂王室也。阪，指諸侯。仁道在邇，一作「近」。求之若逺，遂迷不復，自嬰屯蹇，喟然迴慮，題彼泰山，題，顧也。泰山，謂魯也。言歴諸國，既無所用，復顧魯鬱確其高，梁甫迴連，枳棘充路，陟之無縁，將伐無柯，患兹蔓延，惟以永歎，涕霣潺湲」。言公室既鬱確而險，大夫又亂如枳棘，欲伐去，又無斧柯。梁甫太山之下小山，指三桓也。
