17  | 老姥掌游記。 陳廷敬上黨南三百里有山曰方山，又南十五里曰洞陽山，又南十五里曰樊山、上黨，地形高天下，此山高出地上，皆直下萬仞。由樊山則枝分條披，狀形竒詭，嶕嶢而為峰，窈窕而為壑，﨑嶇而為𡼏，崚嶒而為㠋，嶻嶭而為巘，岪㠨而為巒，岭巆而為岫、●、𡻳而為巖。其又南則砥柱析城，岩壁重複，峭竦如樓●，嵯峨如墉隍，如玦如環，繚絡數百里。其中長川，夾岸若斷，若連如海，波斂而島，嶼出如江，潮平而洲渚生，村居靜深闗，扄奥閟葢，陟樊山之巓皆見焉。余家樊溪東涘，在山之南，開門見山，測以圭景，南北相峙，不失杪忽，則仰觀夫樊山之為狀也，如仙卿冠帶而立其上，又如鯨，張鱗如鳯，舒翼委蛇而下，而其東則如巨靈奮臂，隱然信其指爪，上捫太清，下揮空曲，有曰老姥掌者，向所謂峰焉而嶕嶢壑焉而窈窕𡼏焉而﨑嶇㠋焉，而崚嶒巘焉，而嶻嶭巒焉，而岪㠨岫焉，而玲□巖焉，而●廓數十里之內，聯嵐亘暉，俯可摶擷，如置諸掌。昔以掌名，肖其形矣，信異境矣哉！其下則古松流水渺然，非復人間，余時游而樂之，葢嘗數宿而不能去也。夫去山數十里而近而峰壑，巖巒之美已如此，況所云數百里者，吾雖未能盡游焉，而已坐挹河山之勝，他日雖得盡游其處，亦何以加於此樂也與！ |
