38  | 荊州文獻王好馬，不惜千金，沒世不遇。周先帝命內臣李廷玉賜馬與南平王，且問所好何馬，乃曰：「良馬千萬無一，若駿者即可得而選。苟要坐下坦一作「且」。穩，免勞控制，唯騸庶幾也。既免蹄齧，不假銜枚，兩軍列陣，萬騎如一。苟未經騸，亂氣狡憤，介冑在身，與馬爭力，罄控不暇，安能左旋右抽，舍轡揮兵乎？」自是江南蜀馬，往往學騸，甚便乘跨。是知蹀躞者誇於目，馴柔者便於身。此一作「比」。君子之難逢，假翦剔者，抑其次也哉。 |
