66  | 歲除歲旦，秣陵人家門上插松柏枝、芝麻楷、冬青樹葉，大門換新桃符，貴家房門左右貼畫雄雞。此亦有所自起。案魏、晉制，每歲朝設葦茭、桃梗、磔雞於宮及白寺之門，以辟惡氣。自夏后氏以葦茭，商人以螺首，周人以桃為梗。漢兼用三代之儀，以葦茭、桃梗，五月五日，朱索五色印為門戶飾，以儺止惡氣。後漢又以朱索、連葷、菜彌、牟朴、蟲鍾，以桃印長六寸方三寸，五色書文如法，以施門戶。魏、晉乃雜用於歲旦。今人家五月五日，庭懸道士朱符，人戴佩五色絨線符牌，門戶以縷系獨蒜，及以彩帛、通草製五毒蟲，虎、蛇、蠍、鼅鼄、蜈蚣蟠綴於大艾葉上，懸於門，又以桃核刻作人物佩之。蓋用漢五月五日之遺法也。 |
