58  | 二月二十二日，郝兵抵桂。左右趣帝遷蹕。式耜曰：「不可。督師警報未至，營夜驚，無大恐。二百里外風塵，而遽使駕露處耶。播遷無寧日，國勢愈弱，兵氣愈難振，民心皇皇復何依？潮回波逝，雖長年三老能逆挽其戙𣏾哉？」左右禁近益周章不止。式耜請曰：「無已，候督師歸。果急，甲士正山立，觀兵督戰，咫尺威嚴。勸激將士，背城借一，勝敗未知。若以走為策，桂城危，柳又不危乎？彼今日可到桂，明日獨不可到南大乎？」反覆數百言。帝曰：「卿不過欲朕死社稷耳。」式耜泣下沾衣。嚴起恒曰：「遲至厥明且議之。」 |
