1  | 却說袁佛子將靈蛇庵的根底，說與兒子聽。于是把孩子唸書的一節，也就擱過一邊了。這孩子終日在家裡，無事的時節，便將佛子所念的經典，翻着看。因他平時，聽老兒念誦，都聽熟了的，看著便隨口的念了出來。一日，孩子正在座下跪著念經，一頭遇着了娘走來，駭的他娘叫喚起來。佛子方才從外邊走進裡面，只聽得媳婦一片聲的喊。不知是什麼事，急忙走到面前。媳婦道：「爹爹快來看，這孩子一箇字兒不識，在這裡不知怎麼就翻出經典來，高聲朗誦的念，這可不是箇妖怪麼？」 |
