4  | 洪氏四甥，其治經皆承祖母，文城君講授文城賢智能立洪氏門戶，如士大夫，葢嘗以義訓四甥之名，曰朋芻，炎羽其友，為之易名，徃徃不似經意，舅黄庭堅為發其蘊而字之，江發岷山，其盈濫觴，及其至於楚國，萬物並流，非夫有本而益之者衆耶？夫士也，不能自智其靈龜，好賢樂善以深其內，則十朋之龜何由至哉？故朋之字曰：「龜父飛黃騄耳之駒，一秣千里，御良而志得，食君場苗，蹇𩦺同軒，其在空谷，生芻一束，不知場穀之美也，能仕能止，惟其才可仕可止，惟其時何常之有哉？故芻之字曰：駒父火炎，髙邱、珉石，共盡和氏之璞。王者之器，溫潤而澤，晏然於焚如之時，葢火不炎無以知，玉事不難，無以知君子，故炎之字曰：玉父鴻雲飛而野啄，去來不繆其時，非其意不自下，故其羽可用為儀，非夫好髙之士，操行潔於秋，天使貪夫清明，懦夫激昻者，何足以論鴻之志哉？故羽之字曰：鴻父，既字之，又告之曰：曾子曰：未得君而忠。臣可知者，孝子也。未有治而能仕可知者，修士也。二三子捨幼志，然後能近老成人力學，然後切問，問學之功有加，然後樂聞過，樂聞過，然後執書册而見古人執柯以伐柯，古人豈真逺哉？ |
