記曰:「君子將營宮室,宗廟為先,廄庫為次,居室為後。重先祖及國之用。凡家造,祭器為先,犧賦為次,養器為後。大夫稱家,始造事也。犧賦,以稅出牲。無田祿者,不設祭器;有田祿者,先為祭服。」祭器可假,祭服宜自有。「成廟則釁之。其禮,祝、宗人、宰夫、雍人皆爵弁純衣。廟新成必釁,尊而神之也。宗人先請於君曰:「請命以釁某廟。」君諾之,乃行。雍人拭羊,宗人視之,宰夫北面於碑南,東上。居上者,宰夫也。宰夫,攝主也。拭,靜也。雍人舉羊升屋,自中,中屋南面,刲羊血流於前,乃降。門、夾室皆用雞,先門而後夾室,其如志反皆於屋下。割雞,門當門,夾室中室。自,由也。謂將欲割牲以釁,先滅耳旁毛薦之。耳,聽聲者也,告神,欲其聽之。有司皆向室而立,門則有司當門北面。有司,宰夫、祝、宗人也。既事,宗人告事畢,乃皆退。告者,告宰夫也。反命於君曰『釁某廟事畢』。反命於寢,君南向於門內,朝服。既反命,及退。君朝服者,不至廟也。路寢成,則考之而不釁。釁屋者,交神明之道也。言路寢者,生人所居。不釁者,不神之也。考之者,設盛食以落之耳。晉獻文子成室,諸大夫發焉是。凡宗廟之器,其名者,成則釁之以豭豚。」宗廟名器,樽彝之屬。「凡宗廟之禮,牛曰一元大武,豕曰剛鬣,豚曰腯肥,羊曰柔毛,雞曰翰音,犬曰羹獻,雉曰疏趾,兔曰明視,脯曰尹祭,槁魚曰商祭,鮮魚曰脡祭,水曰清滌,酒曰清酌,黍曰薌合,粱曰薌萁,稷曰明粢,稻曰嘉蔬,韭曰豐本,鹽曰鹹鹺,玉曰嘉玉,幣曰量幣」。此皆號牲物者,異於人用也。元,頭也。武,跡也。腯,肥。翰,長也。羹獻,食人之餘也。尹,正也。槁音考,乾也。商,量也。脡,直也。萁,辭也。嘉,善也。稻,菰蔬之屬。豐,茂也。大鹹曰鹺。「辨九拜,一曰稽首,二曰頓首,三曰空首,四曰振動,五曰吉拜,六曰凶拜,七曰奇拜,八曰褒拜,九曰肅拜」。稽首,頭至地。頓首,頭叩地。空首,頭至手,所謂拜手也。吉拜,拜而後稽顙,謂齊衰不杖以下者。言吉者,此殷之凶拜,周以其拜與頓首相近,故云吉拜。凶拜,稽顙而後拜,謂三年服者。杜子春云:「振讀為振鐸之振。動音慟。奇讀為奇偶之奇。謂先屈一膝,今雅拜也。」或曰:「奇讀為倚。倚拜謂持節持戟拜,身倚之以拜是也。」鄭大夫云:「動讀為董,書亦或為董。振董,以兩手相擊也。奇謂一拜也。褒讀為報,報拜,再拜是也。」鄭司農云:「褒拜,今時持節拜是也。肅拜,但俯下手,今時怀是也。介者不拜,故曰『為事故,敢肅使者』。」鄭玄謂:「振動,戰慄變動之拜。書曰『王動色變』。一拜,答臣下拜;再拜,拜神與尸也。」怀音於志反。
