34  | 此時東都早已知道，越王侗傳令旨：差下一個虎賁郎將劉長恭，光祿少卿房崱，著募兵三萬五千，前往征討。兩人開府募兵，不旬日募兵已足。都是何等人物：一輩是貪財的街坊游手游食漢子，貪圖得幾兩安家行糧器械銀兩，且快活一時；一輩是貪功的勛貴權要人家，謀充首領職沒有功，冒功沒功時，自有一乾士卒垫刀頭，殺他不著，都來應募。又道是： |
| 37 | 到得石子河東首，只見劉仁恭也不待軍士飯完，起鼓逼他渡洛水，在石子河西首排陣了。這三萬五千排開有十餘里，雖是衣甲鮮明，刀鎗齊整，不知肚中已枵了。渡水列陣，人已不奈煩了。喜得見李密兵少，盡力來沖，那當他六支精兵，六路殺來，把隋兵截做六斷廝殺。翟讓撞了房崱中軍，殺傷相當。這五支砍殺，就是入無人之境。這番連房崱也支撐不住。劉仁恭慌得脫了戰袍，赴過洛水。部下兵軍三萬五千，被殺萬餘，水中溺死萬餘，逃得命的不過萬餘。這些衣甲器械，都已歸了李密。 |
