桓常侍聞人道深公者輙曰此公既有宿名加先達知稱又與先人至交不宜說之桓彛别傳曰彛字茂倫譙國龍亢人漢五更桓榮十世孫也父頴有髙名彛少孤識鑒明朗避亂渡江累遷散騎常侍僧法深不知其俗姓蓋衣冠之𦙍也道徽髙扇譽播山東為中州劉公弟子值永嘉亂投迹楊土居止京邑內持法綱外允具瞻𢎞道之法師也以業慈清淨而不耐風塵考室剡縣東二百里𡵙山中同遊十餘人髙棲浩然支道林宗其風範與髙麗道人書稱其德行年七十有九終於山中也
