49  | 庚戌，皇太后詔：「以故太尉鄧彪為太傅，賜爵關內侯，錄尚書事，百官總己以聽。」竇憲以彪有義讓，先帝所敬，彪父邯，封鄳鄕侯，父卒，彪讓國於弟鳳；顯宗高其節。而仁厚委隨，賢曰：委隨，猶順從也。故尊崇之。其所施為，輒外令彪奏，內白太后，事無不從。王莽用孔光之故智也。彪在位，修身而已，不能有所匡正。憲性果急，睚䀝之怨，莫不報復。賢曰：睚，音語懈翻。䀝［眦］，音仕懈翻。《廣雅》曰：睚，裂也。或謂：裂䀝［眦］，瞋目貌也。永平時，謁者韓紆考劾憲父勳獄，勳下獄死，事見四十五卷明帝永平五年。劾，戶槪翻。憲遂令客斬紆子，以首祭勳冢。 |
