20  | 次日，即着成茂、成華賫了財禮，送至熊家。熊老見果有二百之銀，真是天脫下的歡喜，即備酒食欵待來使，并及王婆，又送各人賜賞錢物。三人去後，熊老夫妻將許多銀兩搬到房中，笑道：「老娘，我和你生下完全的兒女，到都被他討了債去，誰想臨後添出這個滯貨，到還了債。雖他家百色俱有，我家也要些少備辦。明日就去買紬絹，喚裁縫，定訂木器，打首飾才是。」媽媽道：「這些總是舊套，杭州城裏省會之處，早晨要了銀子，晚上討得齊備。只是一件，我家女兒其實是個雌太監，他總娶去，終久用不着的。天理人心，得他若干銀子，你我心下豈安？就是女兒，也要在他家過日子，成何體統？不若依我見識，譬如少得了三五十金財禮，做些銀子，着討一個能事些的丫鬟，做個從嫁，使他或者替得半分力，也不枉了一番唇舌。」 |
