102  | 按夷人士官，川、貴、陝、廣各處有之，俱不見載。而獨具百夷者，蓋省地土官與中國錯居，而此則在邊繳自為一天者。況是錄本為皇華轍跡之考，而百夷乃詔使常蒞其域者，故附著焉。要之雲南昔皆婁麗異境，故不沾文教，而百夷又在省外，則其狙獍之性，險避之習，要非可以尋常戎狄視也。至於我朝經略之後，省內郡縣阜厚殷富，盡為樂土。且文物炳蔚與中州侔，而外之百夷亦帖然聽命，各守藩度。此我祖宗天威神略，不誕無極，而沐黔寧，綏輯勞來，恩威並施，教化大行，其功亦不可誣也。自是子孫鎮襲，世守其職，累德積威，二百年來，夷酋無敢顛越者，信為南邦之喬木也。若夫唐末藩鎮，勢重不反，亦當謹其漸雲。 |
