164  | 李東，髙平人。父昌文，嘗憤貧困，攜薄貲游廣南，二十年不返東。少長，日牽母衣問廣南所在，母子時相對涕泣。及冠，辭母將往，尋㑹母病，久之愈，乃為弟婚娶，俾奉母。自賫父雅嗜物，徒步走太行山，遇盜，以梃擊之，幾斃。至漢口，急附舟沈於水，遇救免。及抵佛山鎭，四訪無蹤。一日，夢見其父，遂航海走瓊州府。遇客言：「父寓瓊嘗娶妾生女，今歿已十三年，妾亦適人矣」。乃求妾所在問父墓，出賫物哭奠，極哀，為女弟擇配，乃負父骸以北。渡瓊海，過雷江，渉梅麓湖，經觀音崕曁、韓瀧、湘潭諸險，凡往返萬八千里乃克，歸父骸於祖墓畢。一棟，髙平人。家貧，事親克孝。嘗走潞安，負米不憚勞，日治田山中，食必歸視，飲食間，不甘輒嚬蹙。親故老農，然嗜人讀書，輒令子振姬日夜雒誦，曰：「能得爾王父歡心，吾雖勞，無苦矣」。振姬後以積學聞。 |
