呂好問字舜徒，希哲子，以䕃補官，靖康中為御史中丞，數建大議，彈劾無所畏避，尋遷吏部侍郎。及金人南侵，委曲以成中興之業。建炎初，為尚書右丞，後以資政殿學士知宣州，封東萊郡侯。呂由誠字子明，誨之季子，幼明爽，有智略，以父恩補官，後通判成都府，知雅、嘉、温、綿四州，皆有治績。靖康初，徙知襲慶府。時羣盜蜂起，﨑嶇至郡，金兵來攻，由誠與判官趙令佳同心誓守，城陷，俱被執，不屈，死之。

呂秉南，字景陽，紹定中進士，授崇安尉。秩滿，調寧國法曹獄，無停囚，改吉州，如除職當署，數治疑獄有聲，郡有強盜害民，悉掩捕之，臬司據國律當異，擢奏功于朝，滿考人謂申前奏改秩，秉南笑曰：「朝廷曠恩賞有功，豈求而後予？且害人利己，吾不為也」。部使葉夢鼎賢之，勉留叅議，尋遷都進奏院，㸃檢南宮試牓，稱得人入預輪對，以正君心為急務」，語極，遷大理寺丞，無何，拜司農卿。時政歸權臣，每除吏，必市恩意以要士論，公屢遷無私謝，或諷之，則曰：「爵，公器也，非私予也，吾何謝為？」由是言者以其傲，免歸，即日渡江去，不一介于胷。明年，主祠仙都觀，朝議大夫賜緋銀魚袋。秉南平，生事親孝處，兄弟友教，子姪有方升膠庠取科級者甚衆。律己簡靜，居官每獨往，廉潔自持，尤不樂阿附，務進取，故歴仕四十餘年，位不過寺丞，官不過朝議而已。呂武，太平州步卒也。文天祥出使，武應募從行，及偕脫鎭江之難，走海道，賴武力為多。天祥開府劒，南武，以武功補官，遣結州縣起兵相應，道阻復﨑，嶇數千里，㑹天祥于汀梅，挺身患難，化賊為兵，其忠鯁出天性，後出江西，死于橫逆。
