118  | 凡師救而次責其緩也伐而次善其待服也楚子蔡侯次于厥貉何待乎睤睨中國而已楚滅江滅六以動中夏中夏無以制之於是假聘問而以椒使魯實窺伺也故今有厥貉之次焉說者以為將伐宋或以為厥貉近魯皆意之耳前有陳鄭許為之障亦未遽至魯宋也然其伺釁窺隙不可不虞既次而諸侯之師不出楚可以逞矣然亦未敢遽侵略者非畏也盖圗為再舉耳其後伐麇圍巢皆基於此中國無以制之悲夫 |
