70  | 正推遜間，忽有兩個鄰里少年道：「近日壽筵吉席，可厭的俱演全福百順、三無四喜，今朝既是閑酌，何不擇本風趣些的看看。」周文弟兄與都飆一班兒，俱說：「有理，就擇三本拈個鬮兒，神前撮著的就是。」少年道：「我有三本絕妙的在此：一本《獅吼》，是決要做的；一本《玉合》，也不可少；一本《療妒羹》，是吳下人簇簇新編的戲文，難道不要揀入？」 |
| 71 | 周智道：「你們後生家，說話俱不切當。常言道：『矮子前莫說挫話』。誰不知本宅老娘，有些油鹽醬？這三戲俱犯本色，豈不惹禍？只依我在《荊》、《劉》、《蔡》、《殺》中做了本罷。」眾後生道：「老伯有所不和，《療妒羹》新出戲文，絕妙關接，況且極其熱鬧。就等老伯揀了兩本，小姪們就共力保舉這本，一總投入瓶中，知道捉著那本？」周智道：「既是好看，也不要拂了你們高興，便揀在內罷。」眾少年得這口風，便將藥鬮投入瓶中。成珪幾神拜畢，用箸取出一個，卻好正是《療妒羹》。眾少年一齊稱快，以為得意。戲子便開場，逐出出做將出來。有原本開場詞一首，以見戲文之大意。詞云： |
