《卷十三 槐西雜志三》
7  | 崔崇屽，汾陽人，以賣絲為業，往來於上谷、雲中有年矣。一歲，折閱十餘金，其曹偶有怨言。崇屽恚憤，以刃自剖其腹，腸出數寸，氣垂絕。主人及其未死，急呼里胥與其妻至。問：「有冤耶？」曰：「吾拙於貿易，致虧主人資。我實自愧，故不欲生，與人無預也。其速移我返，毋以命案為人累。」主人感之，贈數十金為棺斂費。奄奄待盡而已。有醫縫其腸納之腹中，敷藥結痂，竟以漸愈，惟遺矢從刃傷處出，穀道閉矣。後貧甚，至鬻其妻。舊共賣絲者憐之，各贈以絲，俾撚線自給。漸以小康，復娶妻生子。至乾隆癸巳甲午間，年七十乃終。其鄉人劉炳為作傳。曹受之侍御錄以示余，因撮記其大畧。夫販鬻喪資，常事也。以十餘金而自戕，崇屽可謂輕生矣。然其本志，則以本無毫髮私，而其迹有似於乾沒，心不能白，以死自明，其平生之自好可知也。瀕死之頃，對衆告明里胥，使官府無可疑，切囑其妻，使眷屬無可訟，用心不尤忠厚歟？當死不死，有天道焉，事似異而非異也。 |
