25  | 匡王元年六月辛丑朔，日有食之。三年秋，甘歜敗戎于邥埀。六年崩，子瑜立，是為定王。《史記》云：弟瑜立。定王元年春，楚子伐陸渾之戎，遂觀兵于周疆。王使王孫滿勞楚子。楚子問鼎之大小輕重滿，曰：「在德不在鼎。昔成王定鼎于郟鄏，卜世三十，卜年七百。周德雖衰，天命未改。鼎之輕重，未可問也」。五年，河徙。六年，王使單襄公聘于宋。八年，使劉康公聘于魯。十四年，成周宣榭火。十七年，劉康公伐茅戎，敗績。二十一年崩，子夷立，是為簡王。 |
