7  | 見人躲一路喜道：「造化，造化！今日若非他錯認雲裡手，幾乎性命難保。」又失笑道：「他既做賊，我亦做賊，都是一樣，偏又稱他什麼好賊，卻像偷他心上快活一般。怎又這樣敬他，又道處處傳揚？真是奇事。莫管他，我以後只將他貴名，做個護身符，自萬無一失。」因此他的膽一發大了。一日偷到一個大鄉宦吳吏部家裡，正值吳吏部在房中與夫人飲酒，不知他怎麼弄個手段，撬開一根天窗明瓦椽子，悄悄伏在樑上。暗守直至三鼓將盡，還不得他睡，自己倒守得困倦起來。只是要打盹，再熬不住，不知不覺瞌睡上來，猛向前一撞，險些跌下來。連忙折住身子，不妨腰間那把斧子脫下，正正掉在一個銅盆上，打得叮當，把吳吏部眾人嚇上一跳，一齊哄然大喊：「有人伏在樑上。」那見人躲嚇得半死，飛往屋上一竄，沒命的跑脫。吳吏部著人追趕，並無蹤跡，次早拿起斧子一看，見名字在上，即動一張告捕呈子，連斧子一併送縣。 |
