2  | 蘇軾，字子瞻，眉山人，高名大節，照映今古。據德依仁之餘，游心茲藝。所作枯木，枝幹虯屈無端倪。石皴亦奇怪，如其胸中盤鬱也。作墨竹，從地一直起至頂。或問：「何不逐節分？」曰：「竹生時何嘗逐節生耶？」雖文與可自謂：「吾墨竹一派在徐州」，而先生亦自謂「吾為墨竹，盡得與可之法」，然先生運思清拔，其英風勁氣逼人，使人應接不暇，恐非與可所能拘制也。又作《寒林》，嘗以書告王定國曰：「予近畫得《寒林》，已入神品。」雖然，先生平日胸臆宏放如此。而蘭陵胡世將家收所畫《蟹》，瑣屑毛介，曲畏芒縷，無不備具，是亦得從心不踰矩之道也。米元章自湖南從事過黃州，視見公，酒酣，貼觀音紙壁上，起作兩行，枯樹、怪石各一，以贈之。山谷枯木道士賦云：「恢詭譎怪，滑稽於秋毫之穎，尤以酒為神，故其觴次滴瀝，醉餘呻。取諸造化之爐錘，盡用文章之斧斤。」又題《竹石》詩云：「東坡老人翰林公，醉時吐出胸中墨。」先生自題郭祥正壁，亦云：「枯腸得酒芒角出，肺肝槎牙生竹石。森然欲作不可留，寫向君家雪色壁。」則知先生平日非乘酣以發真興，則不為也。 |
