1  | 明戚繼光撰。繼光字元敬，世襲登州衛指揮僉事。歷官薊州、永平、山海等處地方總兵官，中軍都督府左都督，進太子太保。事跡具《明史》本傳。是書乃其官浙江參將時前後分防寧波、紹興、台州、金華、嚴州諸處練兵備倭時作。首為申請訓練公移三篇。所謂提督阮者，阮一鶚；所謂總督軍門胡者，胡宗憲也。次為或問，題下有繼光自注云，束伍既有成法，信於眾則令可申，苟一字之種疑，則百法之是廢，故為或問以明之。蓋明人積習，惟務自便其私，而置國事於不問。故己在事中，則攘功避過，以身之利害為可否，以心之愛憎為是非；己在事外，則嫉忌成功，惡人勝己，吠聲結黨，倡浮議以掣其肘。繼光恐局外阻撓，敗其成績，故反覆論辨，冠之簡端，蓋為當時文臣發也。 |
