4  | 《宋三朝藝文志》曰：《漢志》、《六藝》以《爾雅》附《孝經》，六書為小學，隋沿其制。唐錄有詁訓、小學二類，《爾雅》為詁訓，偏傍音韻雜字為小學，今合為一。自齊、梁之後，音韻之學始盛，顧野王《玉篇》、陸法言《切韻》尤行於世。 |
| 2 | 陳氏曰：丁度等既修《集韻》，奏言今添字既多，與顧野王《玉篇》才相參協，乞委修韻官別為《類篇》，與《集韻》並行。自寶元迄治平及成書。歷王洙、胡宿、范鎮，司馬光始上之，熙甯中頒行。凡十五篇，各分上、中、下，以《說文》為本，而例有九云。 |
