白子思曰:「附於身者,必誠必信謂衣衾棺槨,有虞氏瓦棺,周人以葬無服之殤,夏后氏堲周,周人用葬,中殤下殤也、殷人棺槨,周人葬長殤,周人墻置翣,注墻,柳衣也,國子髙曰衣足以飾身棺,周於衣槨,周於棺。宋文公卒始厚葬,槨有四阿四柱槨也,棺有翰㑹㑹上飾翰,旁飾皆僣,王者禮也,君子謂華元棄君於惡也。 有棺無槨顔淵死,顔路請子之車以為之槨,子曰:鯉也,死有棺而無槨,衣衾而舉之言歛也。且事難偪下禮,貴建中。翰㑹四阿,雖僣而無度,桐棺三寸而儉亦難遵《漢書》:堯、舜送死,桐棺三寸,此儉而難遵,去其喪具禮喪具,君子恥具一日二日而可為者,君子不為,石槨昔者夫子居宋,見桓司馬自為石槨,三年不成。夫子曰,若是其靡也,死不如速朽之愈也,《禮》。夫子制於中都四寸之棺,五寸之槨,以斯知之,不欲速朽也夫子為中都宰,立此棺槨之制,大為我棺陳乾昔寢疾,屬其子曰,如我死,則必大為棺禮。諸侯大棺八寸,屬六寸,椑四寸,上大夫棺八寸,屬六寸。下大夫棺六寸,屬四寸,士棺六寸,庶人四寸大棺棺之在表者,屬椑,小棺也。大夫無椑,士無屬,以等尊卑也,棺飾諸侯裏棺用朱緑,雜金鐟。大夫裏棺用元緑,牛骨鐟,士不緑。諸侯蓋用漆,三衽三束,大夫蓋用漆三,衽二束。士蓋不漆二,衽二。束鐟,子南反。諸侯松槨,大夫柏槨,士雜木槨。 棺槨之間,諸侯容甒因其藏物以尊卑之節。傳曰:「飾棺,置諸堂阜諸侯龍輴,象荒火三列蔽大夫。畫荒,大注,畫雲氣覆之,沐槨孔子故人。原壤,其母死,夫子助之沐槨。買棺,內外易獻,獻成造棺,斵子家之棺貶之,斵薄其棺,不使從卿禮也,美檟季文子為己樹六檟於蒲圃,束門之外。注:將自以為槨也。匠慶取之以葬。襄公母死,姒氏定姒,具棺槨漢貢禹曰:「臣年八十,去家三千里,子年十二自痛,非在家為臣具棺槨者」。,北山石為槨《漢文》曰:「以北山石為槨,用紵絮陳漆斮其間,豈可動哉?張釋之進曰:使其中有可欲,雖錮南山,猶有隙無可,欲不如此,亦何憂也?某所木黃覇次公為潁川人,鰥獨死無可葬者。覇為其區處曰某所木可為棺某,亭猪可以祭,皆如其言。古之葬者,厚衣之以薪,葬之中野,不封不樹,後世聖人易之以棺槨蓋取諸大過。審棺槨之薄厚,旬而布材既,殯。虞人致百祀之木可以為棺槨者,斬之。傳曰:「宋公將死,曰唯楄柎,所以藉幹者楄,拊棺中苓牀幹髑髏也。書曰:「伯相命士須材成王崩時也,須材以終為棺槨,調棺趙廣漢為囚調棺,皆曰死無恨矣?轊𨏔小棺也,詔賜棺而出之晉人圍曹,曹人恐為其所得者棺而出之,魏舒田於大陸焚焉焚田火也。還卒,范獻子去其柏槨,以其未復命而田也貶之也。魏獻子城成,周未歸而田,下玉棺後漢王喬為葉縣令,後天下玉棺於堂前,吏人推排,終不擾動。喬曰:天帝召我。乃沐浴服飾寢其中,蓋便立覆,葬城,束土自成墳,其夕葉中牛皆湍流汗也,孔斂以棺槥劉昌初城平涼,將士骸骨不藏,始命瘞之,具以聞,徳宗下詔哀痛出衣數百稱,官為賽具,斂以棺槥,營棺槥還葬盧鈞擢嶺南節度使,貞元後,流放衣冠,其子姓窮弱不能自還者,為營棺槥還葬,分柩䕶送長安顔杲卿子泉明泉,明之殯父,與履謙分柩䕶送長安,履謙妻疑歛具儉狹,發視之,與杲卿等,乃號踊,待泉明如父,負棺入諫賈直言:後署師道府屬,師道不軌,提刀負棺入諫曰:願前死,不見城之破。師道怒,囚之,豫為冢棺司空圖,豫為冢棺,五品以上漆棺六品以下但得漆際,出酉陽雜爼仙棺元和初,建陽縣界山中墜仙人棺,棺中脛骨長六寸,青瑩如玉,土棺夀安之南有土峯甚峻,乾符初,因雨而圯,半壁銜土,棺下有木橫亙之木,見風成塵,而土形尚固,邑令滌之,泥汩於水,粉膩而臘黃,剖其中,猶彷彿埃骨存焉。近代無以土為周身之具者,夏后氏堲周,殆比是也。出髙氏闕史,蓋棺事則已,此志常覬豁杜甫詩天落白玉棺,王喬辭葉縣李白詩,易棺衾歸骨於河南之陽,韓愈文挐壙銘。諸葬不得以石為棺槨其棺槨不得雕鏤彩畫,戶牖欄檻槨內不得有金寳珠玉。杜佑通典烱之氣戢於一木劉禹錫祭文》。五代石昂父平生不喜佛父死,昂於柩前誦《尚書》,曰:此吾先人之所欲聞也。

白周禮地官、舞師教皇舞旱暵之事,稻人旱暵供其雩斂斂,發斂也,禜門用瓢齎甘瓢去抵為樽,旱暵則舞雩女巫之職。雩禜,祭水旱也,龍見而雩穀梁一時而言不雨,有志於人也。毛澤未盡,人力未竭,古人重請,請道去讓孔雩祀王仲邱,沂州琅琊人,開元中,厯左補闕時典章差駮,仲邱欲合貞觀、顯慶二禮,據有「其舉之莫可廢」之義,即上言:「貞觀禮,雩祀五方上帝、五人帝、五官于南郊。顯慶禮:祀昊天上帝于圓丘。臣謂雩上帝為百穀祈甘雨,故月令大雩,帝用盛樂。鄭𤣥說:帝,上帝也,乃天別號,祀于圓丘,尊天位也。顯慶祀昊天與月令合,而貞觀甞祀五帝矣,請二禮皆用。詔可,雩于興慶宮德宗貞元十三年四月壬戌,雩于興慶宮,祈禳禜雩皆有準程栁終南碑。栁子厚禜門文惟神配隂含德,司其翕闢,能收水沴,以祜成績,淫雨斯降,害于麰麥,野夫興憂,官守増惕,諸隂既閉,休徵未獲,敬用瓢齎,以展周索,納其雲氣,復我川澤,冬至及孟雩祭皇地祗于方丘。《禮志》,旱甚則修雩唐六典》:禮部旱甚則修雩。秋分以後,雖旱不雩雨足,皆報祀。若州縣,則先祈社稷及境內山川。若霖雨,則京城禜諸門門別三日,每日一禜,不止祈山川、岳鎮、海濵,三日不止。祈社稷、宗廟若州縣,則禜城門及境內山川而已。同上。周制《月令》:建巳月大雩五方上帝。其壇名曰雩,禜於南郊之傍,配以五人。帝命樂工習盛禮,舞皇舞。月令,命有司為民祈祀山川百源百辟。卿士有益于民者,以祈穀實。若國大旱,則司巫帥巫而舞雩。若旱暵,則女巫舞雩。武德初,定令,每歲孟夏雩祀昊天上帝於圓丘,景皇帝配,牲用蒼犢二。五方上帝、五人帝、五官並從祀,用方色犢十出。杜佑通典。正觀雩祀於南郊,顯慶禮于圓丘
