10  | 世宗嘉靖六年夏五月，起新建伯王守仁以兵部尚書總制兩廣、江西、湖廣軍務。先是，成化中，韓雍平斷藤峽，民獲寧居者二十餘年。正德五年後，遺孽漸熾，峽南賊尤甚，橫江禦人。總制都御史陳金，謂諸蠻不過利魚鹽耳，乃與約：商船入峽者，計船大小給魚鹽與之。諸蠻就水濱受去，如榷稅然，不得為梗。蠻初獲利聽約，道頗通。金亦謂此法可久，易峽名永通。亡何，諸蠻緣此益無忌，大肆掠奪，稍不愜即殺之，因循猖獗，遂負固大為寇。至是，守仁至兩廣，定田州，盧蘇、王受降，而兩江父老遮道言斷藤峽及八寨賊倡亂狀。守仁上疏請討，從之。 |
